Analyze Network Intelligence Data

About Network Intelligence

Network Intelligence enables you to retrieve Telco, CableCo, and Broadband information. The Network Intelligence data displayed in the Connected World platform comes from a variety of sources. These include:

  • Shareable buildings from a customer's instance, when the service provider or reseller agrees to share their My Buildings information and/or Network Radar Building information.

  • Internal serviceability data, including data about fiber networks, provider service boundaries (SWC/WISP/MSO/Broadband), vendor's data on Wi-Fi access points with provider and IP addresses.

Broadband Information Sources in Network Intelligence

The broadband data provided by Connectbase’s Network Intelligence (NI) service is sourced from four key categories, each normalized and delivered to clients. These sources include:

  1. Government Data: Information submitted by government entities, such as the bi-annual Federal broadband updates, which detail broadband presence and offerings.

  2. Broadband Providers: Data from broadband providers who use Connectbase and opt to openly share their network information with the ecosystem.

  3. Connectbase Primary Research: Data gathered from over 2,000 broadband providers, including details on products, pricing, speed, and serviceability coverage, through our in-house research efforts.

  4. Mobile IP Device Data: Information collected from over 400 million mobile devices, capturing location, network, and attribute data, with a focus on intersecting mobile device usage with Wi-Fi networks.

These data sources are stored and maintained within Connectbase’s centralized network intelligence repository, managed by the Connectbase Data Team.
