Acting on existing Rule Chains

From the CPQ Rules page, you can use the icons in the Actions column to:

  • Add a new rule to an existing rule chain.

  • Edit an existing rule chain.

  • Delete an existing rule chain.

Adding a new Rule to an existing Rule Chain

To add a new rule to an existing rule chain:

  1. Click Detail.png icon that appears to the right of the rule chain name when you hover over a rule chain.

    Result: The Rule chain displays.

  2. Click Add new Rule.

  3. Define the new rule parameters to be added to this rule chain. See Adding a new CPQ Rule to a Rule Chain for details.

  4. Click Add.

Editing an existing Rule Chain

To edit an existing rule:

  1. Click the Action menu (vertical ellipsis Eclipse-Vertical.png) > Edit chain that appears to the right of the rule chain name when you hover.

    Result: The Edit Rule Chain dialog box displays.

  2. From the Edit Rule Chain dialog box, you can edit the Chain Title and/or pick a new user group to apply to the rule chain.

  3. Click Save.

Deleting an existing Rule Chain

To delete an existing rule chain:

  1. Click the Action menu (vertical ellipsis Eclipse-Vertical.png) > Remove chain.

    Result: A confirmation dialog box displays.

  2. Click Yes to confirm deletion of the rule chain or click No to cancel this operation and maintain the existing rule chain.
